Frequently Asked Questions
Who wrote these software?
They were outsourced. Some of them have (C) Copyright information of individuals who wrote them.
Due to many complaints, we brought back development in-house
Latest version (IX) was written in C++ and complete re-write.
Will these software be fixed?
Vizacc's staff use Visual C++ and do not use Delphi.
The business reason is, given product poor quality, do you think Vizacc should continue
doing business with the people who originally developed these software?
Will there be support for these software?
Vizacc's staff use Visual C++ and do not use Delphi.
We cannot support such software. They are currently unsupported.
It does not run on my PC! Can you help?
We probably cannot help. We do not have development environment for these older
software to fix the bugs/issues.
The last versions were compiled by them, not us.
Why is HelpMaker IX supported and not older versions?
Vizacc's staff use Visual C++ and do not use Delphi.
They develop HelpMaker IX in Visual C++ and can fix bugs relating to their work.
Why did these people who wrote above software make such bad software?
The management here do not know why. Maybe google for 'Delphi Jobs', or ask around for Delphi Jobs.
Do you see any Job openings for Delphi developers? If C++ developers can do better job and make
correct work, then job goes to them. The C++ project-work is not hard or difficult.
Maybe bad things happen to good people.
What effort was made to correct/ or repair fixes?
The management here pumped thousands of dollars into the project without success. Is it right,
after giving thousands of dollars to developers to receive such bad work?
The management does not know the answer. Maybe someone does.
Why was such (bad) software released?
The software is very bad, it is joke!
It was not our intention to release such bad software, The management asked those individuals to
give all source codes/deliverables, final build to put on our site and part ways.
It was unfortunate that later QA results showed plenty of bugs/issues/problems.
Example:
HelpMaker PDF, it has been going around in circles, one release after another with bad results, finally,
it took a C++ developer 9 months to fully re-write the whole project with almost correct results.
Why don't (Vizacc) get angry with (these individuals)?
It would be exercise in futility. Even if the (management) gets angry with these individuals,
what would it serve? It would be pointless. In futility, there is hope. All old was put-away, new came,
resolved many issues.
